Abhishek is an ardent perfectionist who has developed himself into an affable leader. A visionary with a proven track record in starting and running successful ventures, he masters in the field of strategy, people management, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. He is a Civil Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Construction Management from XIME. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta specializing in Finance and Marketing, he is also a fellow of Cornell University in Management. Having two decades of industry experience working with some of the global firms like Lend Lease, DTZ, and OchZiff to name a few. Abhishek found his passion in development and project managing luxury real estate and infrastructure projects. He has worked on high-end uber-luxury projects including international hotel brands like St Regis, The W, Westin, and Marriott. He has held a leadership position with one of the largest real estate development conglomerates – ABIL, in the area of uber luxury infrastructure and designing. He has also worked with one of the largest Hedge funds Ochziff now a Sculptor managing some of the biggest real estate investments.
His newest venture “Covie” , co-founded in January 2020 is a start-up in the area of premium student housing, Co-living, and Senior living. The venture operates 1500 beds across India and is geared up toward a 10,000-bed expansion in the next 60 months. The brand stands as one of the leading players in premium co-living in the subcontinent. A leader who leads from the front, Abhishek has been a coach and mentor to many in his industry.
A family man residing in Bangalore, an avid reader, a music lover, and an experiential traveller, Abhishek has a spiritual side as an associate of Brahmakumaris and believes in giving back to society as his core purpose in life.
